Project Overview:
The Baldwin, a Lifeplan Community in Woodmont Commons, Londonderry, NH, features five buildings along a main street. The Baldwin is based on mixed-use urban design and multi-family housing principles, and its design is inspired by New England’s small towns known for urban townhouses and mixed-use buildings around a town square. Unlike traditional senior housing with a single main entrance, buildings have individual entrances from the sidewalks and are connected across the street via an overhead bridge. Amenities along the main street encourage daily interaction between The Baldwin and Woodmont Commons residents, fostering a sense of belonging in this multi-generational community.
